Hiya, Missro here! For the past few years for Spring and Fall beauty trends, I felt that before the industry insiders even announced them, I knew what they were going to be, especially for Fall. Hmm? Red or plum lips, matte grey or grey metallic eyes, matte skin and so on. When black nail polish became a big hit, I was the first to run out and get my nails painted black. But then everyone and their Mother started wearing it and I got bored with it pretty fast. I think the most interesting trend in the last couple of years was the new take on the sun-kissed look, but for Fall with a metallic palette, I was pleasantly surprised by it.
This year the new black for nails is a deep forest green which I absolutely love! One of the collections I really like is OPI’s Coleccion de Espana which is a beautiful array of color.
Their take on the new deep green is called Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow a rich emerald, forest green. Their version of black this year is called Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees, a very dark blue-grey (so not just a navy blue and not just black, fabulous!). I also really like their deep plum/purple color that looks like a rich Pinot Noir called Give Me Moor!
You can check out the full collection here. Also check out the Fall collections for Lippman, Zoya, and Essie. (FYI, Essie does not have a version of green, but they do have a beautiful navy blue, matte grey and plum) I’ll be at my local nail salon this weekend getting my nails done, can’t wait!
What do you think of the new Fall nail collections?
