Meg here! I’m not sure what happened to todays Green Chi as I have been a little scrambled lately! Today we’re talking opposites day, there is nothing less green then a syringe. I just got my botox done this past Friday (I go every 3 months) and it’s settled in pretty perfectly today.
As a kid, I was in complete denial that I had to wear glasses I spent 2 years in a constant squint. This can do a wonder on those “Furrow lines” between the brows. After day 4, of my shots they are gone and I look like myself. Myself after rest!
Of my Boston friends, I am the only one that makes this 3 month quest. My New York friends are trekking down to the Doctor as much I am. In LA? Come on, I don’t even have to answer that!
So am I insane or have the refresh injections become the norm? I’m in Hollywood so maybe I’m in the beauty bubble but there seems out here just no shame in the game. Where it use to be embarassing to have “work done.” Now women seem to drop that they’re getting a little “nip” and “tuck” with the same sense of pleasure and status it holds as the Chanel handbag.
“Who do you go to?” Is perfectly acceptable cocktail conversation. It’s not meant in a rude way, more of a market research tool.
Since I’ve been a cosmetic surgery fan for as long as I can remember (minor stuff~I don’t think I’m Cher) I have no qualms telling people where I go to “get refreshed”. I started with the lip fillers at 18, facial line fillers at 27 and when people would roll there eyes at me I would tell them “It’s suppose to be preventative.”
Some of my friends would take a sip of their cocktail, drag deeply, inhaling on their cigg and say “Yuck, you’re putting poison into your face.” Touche.>
‘t even feel the need to say “Fess up!” Smetimes we all need a quick fix. I’m just wondering if its a weird thing to be so common or if it is just LaLa Land? Do you go? Do you tell?
On pins and needles (ha) wondering what you ladies think!
