Every other Wednesday Krista brings you the best hair out there!
So gasp if you will (that’s been the response of every other girl I’ve shared this with), but, yes, I just got my first pair of 7 jeans. It’s not that I didn’t want them before, or that I have a problem paying a day’s wages for a pair of jeans (well, okay, that part’s not quite true), but really, the reason is that I’d never seen a pair in my size. Being 6 feet tall and all, it can be something of a trial to find anything in my size. I wear an odd size in shoes (10 ½) that most companies don’t even make. Ditto for bras; same goes for finding anything to wear on top that’s broad enough in the shoulders and has long enough sleeves. And don’t even get me started on the topic of finding pants that fit.
This is my roundabout way of saying that most “designer” clothes are not made for a girl like I. I tried on probably 20 other pairs of jeans, and finally took a pair of 7’s to the fitting room. I was hoping against hope that they wouldn’t be all that they were cracked up to be; that I could go home with the almost-long-enough-if-I-wear-them-with-flats $35 specials that I had in my hand. But no. It’s all true. They are the most comfortable, flattering, and best-fitting jeans I’ve ever had on. Bye-bye dinners out for the next week! Sayonara, champagne! Hello, Top Ramen and cheap beer!
Another product with a cult-like following? The latest step in my hair regime thanks to the ever-fab Stacy Gulisano: Phytocitrus Mask, along with Phytocitrus Shampoo and Phytonectar Ultra-Nourishing Oil Treatment. Phytocitrus Mask might be even more infamous than the celebrities that use it (I remember hearing once that Jessica Simpson wears it to bed. On her hair, natch).
Phytonectar is a pre-treatment with egg yolks that you leave on 10 minutes or longer before you wash. I put it on first thing in the morning and by the time I’ve checked my email and had coffee, I’ve also pre-masked before hitting the shower!
“Formulated with botanical butters (yum!) and Grapefruit extract, Phytocitrus Mask is a smoothing, nourishing treatment… that not only seals the hair cuticles… but also restructures the hair keratin in depth, restoring strength and shine to the hair.”
Welcome to the Phytocitrus club! It’s one size fits all. And it’ll probably last longer than a pair of jeans.
Any other gals that can’t be without Phytocitrus!
