I WANTED A LOOK THAT SAID “I’M GAGA FOR YOU!”

I WANTED A LOOK THAT SAID “I’M GAGA FOR YOU!”

gagaface“This is really who I am, and it took a long time to be okay with that… Maybe in high school you, Ellen, you feel discriminated against. Like you don’t fit in and you want to be like everyone else, but not really, and in the inside you want to be like Boy George – well, I did anyway. So I want my fans to know that it’s okay. Sometimes in life you don’t always feel like a winner, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a winner, you want to be like yourself. I want my fans to know it’s okay.” Lady Gaga interviewed on The Ellen Show

Meg here! I am here to report back that I was not in fact thrown into jail for trying to become a Lady Gaga back-up dancer! I was on the best behavior I am capable of under such a joyous event. I am also really lucky that I got to see the Lady as I would have a better chance of seeing Jesus then her perform NYE in Miami.

Have you heard about her New Years Eve show? Well, I heard there are a couple of tables left if you would like to go. Yes? Did I mention she is selling out each table at $25k. I know, right?

Clearly I am not the only lady that has gone a little goo goo gaga. A few of you lovelies left in the comment section below that you wanted to know what products I grabbed for to put on my Poker Face.

Here’s the cosmetics that I thought would make me Paparazzi ready. There not the brands I wear everyday. Some have been reviewed here and I’ll link to those but some haven’t been on the site yet-I’ll just link to the site where you can check them out if you’re interested!

My face prep:
Dancing like a woman on fire was going to require some serious prep so my face didn’t melt away. I prepped my face with Cat Cosmetics Silk Purr-fection Primer and then added Alexander De Markoff’s Disquise For Eyes Eye Primer so I knew my makeup would last. It sure did last. I fell into bed that night without washing (bad Meg.) It was all there, just as it was when I walked out the door-the next morning when I woke up! I know, I said it “Bad Meg!”

My Eye Makeup: I wanted a super duper POW! I grabbed Afterglow Cosmetics Multi-tasking Loose Mineral Eyeshadow in “Storm” and covered my lids with it. Then for additional shades I grabbed Benefit’s Smokin’ Eye Kit. The greys and silver shades with the black rounded the lids out perfectly for a very dramatic look! I lined with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Pencil in ZERO (the best black going.) To enter Gaga zone I traced everywhere that I had lined with Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in a silver called (how fitting “Glam Rock”) I used Ardell’s Fake Eyelashes in black. Instead of one pair on each eyelid I used two pairs just to double up the intensity! Just to finish off the look I reached for The Balm Two Timer Mascara. I used the Johnny Finetune end because I already had added enough oomph!

My Face: To erase under eye circles and and red splotches my Dr. Dima’s Cosminology AstroKoncealer can’t be beat. Once it had eradicted those imperfections I grabbed my $14.99 favorite foundation! My Aero-Minerale Spray On Foundation ( I use and swear by “Nude”.) After that was applied I grabbed my new most favorite bronzer that I CAN’T WAIT TO REVIEW!!! Lorac’s TANtalizer. One sweep with my big Kabuki brush and I look like the picture of health. On the cheeks I swept Tarte’s Mini Cheek Stain blending both “princess” and “champagne.”

My Lips: Normally, with all of this makeup I’d do a nude lip, but, this is GAGA! This calls for red. A long lasting red! I laid the foundation with the best lip stains (I think on the market) Liptini Lip and Cheek Stains!
I used Maraschino, it’s a gorgeous red and it lasted all night. I wanted to add a color on the top so I had more shine. Thankfully, we reviewed the most delicious red recently. I topped the stain off with my Julie Hewitt Oona Noir Red Lipstick. They made a beautiful pair!

Finished Off: I needed to get my glow on! I did The Aero Minerale Combo! I sprayed both Golden and Girlie on my cleave and on my arms. I then grabbed a little sponge and dapped the shimmer to highlight along my face.

I don’t usually go through such a process and I do love to mix it up! The show was amazing and if you have an extra $25k then what the heck. Ring in the New Year with style. Wink

Have you used any of the products that I reached for? What do you think about my choices? What are your big night out go to’s? As Gaga would say “I love you little monsters!”
