GIOVANNI! D:TOX SYSTEM PURIFYING FACIAL SCRUB!

giovanniscrubStacy B here! Sequels are rarely as good as the original. Think Sex and the City vs. Sex and the City II, The Matrix vs the Matrix Revolution, Grease vs. Grease II (some of these I didn’t even know had sequels!). Part two hardly ever lives up to the original. Sorry plot lines, writers trying too hard to recapture the magic, audiences that expect too much, it’s tough. Why would anyone write anything to try and top something that was so great at the onset?

Maybe they want the money, maybe they believe creative lightening can strike twice or maybe they just actually believe part two will be as good as part one? I’m not sure, but people try it all the time. Anyone see Hangover 2 yet? Whatever the reason, I’m jumping in. You can call this my sequel to last week’s post on Giovanni’s D-Tox System Purifying Facial Cleanser. And it’s going to be good!

I am writing today about step 2 of this system, D-Tox System Purifying Facial Scrub , not for the money, or for creative reasons, but because I actually believe this part two is as good as part one. I’m going to try not to gush, but good lord I love this stuff. This scrub is the perfect companion to an already stellar product. I’ve been searching for this for years. Really.

It has that same fancy spa smell and is just as luxurious as the face wash. I feel like I should be paying so much more for this product than I did. It’s so easy, too. I was wary of a line that adds a step to my routine but this is worth the extra few minutes. You use it immediately after the face wash, while your skin is still wet. About a dime size amount will cover your whole face and you just start scrubbing! I gently massage my skin from my forehead down to my chin and back up. The grains in the scrub are tough enough to make me feel like I’m really exfoliating and getting rid of a ton of dead skin and cells but aren’t harsh enough to scrape my skin or even leave it red or blotchy.

It washes off fairly easily, I usually use a wash cloth to get the edges of my face, around my nose and ears, and I’m left with baby soft skin and a nice glow. I’m on week two of this line and my pores seem smaller, my skin is softer and my breakouts are practically non-existent. My mother was over the other day and complimented me on how great my skin looked and I couldn’t stop singing the praises of this line! I may have converted her…

I found out that you can buy this at Target, Walmart, local drug stores and even order online. It’s a good thing there are multiple ways to get my hands on this stuff because when it runs out, I’m dropping everything to get more!

I can’t wait to tell you about the lotion next week! So, how’d I do? Was my sequel as good as the first? What’s your favorite second step in your facial routine?
