Help! Beauty Maven’s we have another poor dear in beauty confusion! Help alleviate her pain? What’s a girl to do?
I am a new member of Meg’s Makeup and I am wondering about the retro winged liquid eyeliner look that is gracing all the runways for fall. I have tried the winged liner look with both liquid liner (from Clinique) and a regular eye pencil (cheapo try-out color from Almay, and a nice writer from Estee Lauder). I don’t do black make up because it looks strange with my blonde hair and very fair skin, so I’m looking for a good dark, rich brown that will do the trick. Lately I’ve been eyeing (no pun intended) the Stila smudgepot. I’m curious whether a gel liner applied with a brush would do the trick. If so which liner and which brush? My main issue with the Clinique liquid liner was that the shade was too light and the brush was too thin and flexible to do a decent line on the upperlid. Please help!

P.S. I love the site! I’m a college girl so I want to make sure that I’m getting the most out of my money.
