Every Saturday Kate2004rock brings you what’s hot inside Sephora as only an insider can!

Bad Judgement. It happens to all of us…that person not completely ignorant of their 30 pound weight-gain wearing spandex (not me). Alternating bloody mary’s with whiskey-cokes for an afternoon of tailgating (me). Being bored over the summer and saying yes to your sorority adviser who calls you on a low July day asking you to be on the Rush committee again and you saying yes (also me). Yeah, I’m feeling a little stressed out…rush next week. Going to take over my life. Yikes! At least we’re having some lovely Indian Summer weather here in North Mississippi – I can’t wait to watch our team’s “effort” tomorrow against Florida. Only to spiral downward into the treacherous week of the country’s toughest Greek System’s selection. What WAS I thinking?

Rant over. I’ve really been having a lot of fun with the Fall makeup though – I am loving the colors…and I’m ready to tell you what it is that I’m so BUSY loving!

The Smokey Eye. It’s all over the place. This is the perfect eye: (After priming of course!) Take a neutral cream shadow like Benefit’s Love Your Look in R.S.V.P. or even NARS Corfu and go lash to brow. Then Take a medium tone like NARS Ashes to Ashes or Ondine and go all over the lid and smudge it under the lower lashes. Then use a great Black liner (like Stila Smudge pots or the Smashbox JetSet Liner in Midnight black and line the upper eye, and the inside rim. Then take a dark Sparkly shadow – You can’t beat NARS Night Clubbing and press it onto the upper lid really smoking it out. Make sure to blend into the crease. Add more liner if necessary. Follow up with lots of BLACK mascara – like DiorShow Blackout or even the Givenchy EyeFly. This eye is Hot!

Then, some of my new favorite glosses, the BareEscentuals Buxom Lips in Dolly is a great peachy balance to those smoldering eyes!

I’ve also been sloughing off (before self-tanners!) with the Bliss Lemon + Sage Body scrub. They call it a “velvety” feel and it smells so nice and clean I love pulling it out in my shower!

I have A LOT of blushes but I can’t seem to get away from my Tarte Cheek Stain in Blushing Bride. Its sort of peachy, sort of reddish. It’s just the perfect blush color and i love that they stay on all day! I have even been wearing this one over the other 4 colors of Tarte stains that I have!

I also picked up some of the Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo last week at the new Sephora that opened at Wolfchase Galleria in Memphis. I mean, I’m just kind of lazy. I don’t have the kind of hair that air dries or even just blow dries to perfection. It requires some work – and a flat iron so I don’t wash my hair every day (or sometimes even every other day). My hair is dark, dark brown so Baby powder is not an option, unless I want to look like I am graying even faster than I already am (bad genes). So this little baby is PERFECT – even if it just tides me over so I can take a more leisurely shower in the afternoon instead of rushing in the morning (and Having to get up earlier!)

Well Ladies – what are you FALL-ing for these days?
