Merry Christmas to everyone here at – hope you all found something special in your stocking this year! It’s me, Chichi, here with a special edition of Green Chi Tuesday. I hope you are enjoying our first ever “Best of” Week. I had a great time trying to trim my list to the Top Ten! I decided, since I am lucky enough to write the green Chi column, as well as test many other products, I would give a Top Five for both categories.

Before I start, can we talk about the pictures of a six-year-old Chichi celebrating Christmas in the 1970’s? Check it out, my first (documented) Makeover! I love the first shot, where I look scarily like Chaka from Land of the Lost, (you youngsters can google that one) pajamas disheveled, hair knotty and all over the place. You can tell my Mom must have let my older sister and I go wild for a few minutes, than forced a brush upon us. Second shot,I look all composed, shiny hair and barrette in place, delicately opening a gift. No wonder I became make-up obsessed and always love a good ”Makeover Montage” in my movies and television shows.

All right, back to the important stuff – here’s the list of my absolutely favorite items that I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing for

Top Five Green Chi Products

SUKI LEMONGRASS EXFOLIATING CLEANSER Handsdown, the best facial exfoliator I’ve ever used! Smells amazing, lathers well while it exfoliates and leaves smooth, bright skin behind.

YES TO CARROTS C THROUGH THE DRY-SPELL BODYBUTTER An extra dense, super moisturizing body butter with a light, creamy scent that soothes even the driest of skin. All at a fabulous price!

AROMAFLORIA STRESS LESS BUBBLE BATH We’ve got more of this amazing line ready for review in the new Year! This bubble bath (that I also use as a shower gel) is bursting with yummy fresh and natural scents (lavender, chamomile and sage). It always leaves me so relaxed – just as promised.

CAUDALIE VINOPERFECT DAY PERFECTING CREAM SPF15 Finally, a natural face moisturizer with SPF15. Smells fab, feels luxurious, brightens my skin tone and even fades sunspots! It’s become a standard in my daily routine.

JUICE BEAUTY CLEANSING GEL Not a big surprise, I’m always raving about this face cleansing gel. This great smelling wash strikes that delicate balance of being able to deep clean your face without stripping your natural oils.

Top Five Megsmakeup Reviewed Products

CLARISONIC BRUSH SYSTEM You can believe all the hype! This brush can do great things for your skin – it deep cleans and minimizes blackheads as well as fine lines.Since it’s waterproof and cordless, it’s safe for use in the shower. I absolutely love it.

STEPHEN KNOLL HYDRO REAPIR MIST My fine, thin hair can get unbelievably tangled (see above Before picture as proof). A few pumps of this fine mist after a shower and a comb just glides through my wet hair. Once dried, it keeps my hair smooth and shiny all day and helps control fly-aways as well.

SMASHBOX MINI LIP AND EYE PALETTE An adorably mod, patent leather like palette filled with six universally flattering colors (four for eyes and two lip glosses) without a “filler” in the bunch. Perfect for travel or gift-giving.

ALEXANDRA DE MARKOFF DISGUISE FOR EYES The best eye primer I’ve ever used. Glides onto lids, disguising any discolorations so you can add mascara and go. Or you can use the perfectly matte surface as a canvas to apply eye shadow, which will adhere to your lids and last all day (or night) without creases or streaking.

SONYA DAKAR VISUALIFT EYE CREAM This eye cream is everything I need! It is incredibly moisturizing, fills in fine lines and leaves a slight highlighting sheen behind. I can still feel and see the difference around my eye area at the end of a long day. I also love the pump applicator, so much better than digging into a jar.

Thanks to the women at megs for making this such a great year, especially all of our faithful readers! You guys are awesome! I can’t wait to see what 2008 has in store for us – I’m sure we’ll find some new products vying for aspot in my Top Ten. Did any of my favorites make your List?
