Sweetassgal here! to bring you the best natural and organic products our Mother Earth has to offer us by the way of Green Chi Tuesdays!
After months of anticipation, a painstakingly well played campaign, and a countdown to a real change for our economy, it finally happened…they announced the opening of a new Whole Foods in my town (gotcha didn’t I?)! Yes folks…I too am now a member of Whole Paycheck. I might as well sign up and add them to my direct deposit. What an amazing experience. Aisles and aisles of all of the natural wonders and goodies a gal could want. From foods that promise health and beauty nourishing from within to beauty products that promise to pamper without harm, it was a blissful experience and one I won’t soon forget.
Ooohhhh where to begin and what to choose?!?! For those of you who may not know Whole Foods has an exclusive brand of personal care products called EO (I thought Whole Foods was being funny saying the products are “Exclusively Ours” but it turns out it stands for Essential Oils…how silly of me!). This line of products comes from a family owned and operated business in Marin County, California that uses the highest level of natural and certified organic ingredients and of course is animal cruelty free. Check them out online at EOproducts.com and read more. I for one am hooked and want to try everything. One glorious organic bottle at a time.
This go round I picked up the “All purpose” Peppermint Soap. According to the website this is the perfect wash for everything from your precious little piddies to the organic arugala you picked up in the produce aisle. Now in these trying economic times I’m all for a product that can do everything, but somehow I don’t think I can bring myself to wash my food with the same stuff I use to rub-a-dub-dub with. That’s just me. But I was delighted to find myself lathering up with a sensuous blend of biodegradable Peppermint and Coconut oil infused goodness. It’s both soothing and invigorating at the same time and I’m always happy any time I get a little lift from my shower products. The packaging is a little bland for my tastes and could stand to be a little more aesthetically pleasing. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how great the stuff is inside…if it doesn’t scream display me in your bathroom I tend to overlook it. But I love the fact that I’m not adding nasty chemicals to the water washing down my drain and am supporting a local family here in Cali that is trying to make the world a better, kinder, and cleaner place. So bravo EO and Whole Foods!
You can check out all of their products and read about the EO philosophy online but I’m pretty sure the products are sold exclusively at the store locations. Meg is sending us a new package of goodies to review and in the meantime I’ll be making an after work stop at the WF store here in good ol’ Roseville to find something else deliciously scintillating to tempt you with. And though I won’t be using my Peppermint Soap to scrub my potatoes I will be pouring myself a glass of wine, slicing some cucumbers for my eyes, and dreaming about my next trip to grocery Nirvana! Glam ON megsmakeup gals!!!
Any other EO fans! Who else does their beauty shopping at Whole Foods?
