Meg here (sick of me yet) to bring you a Fab Friday item that I have splurged on myself for years! I think every woman in her life should have a truly decadant scent. I look no further then the House of Creed. Let me give you a little background, “CREED is the world’s only dynastic, privately held luxury fragrance company. Founded in 1760 and passed from father to son since then, CREED has served more than 10 royal houses and the discerning public for 248 years.A house of tradition, CREED adheres to unrelenting high standards in fragrance creation and client service. CREED uses methods of hand production, including maceration and filtration, instituted at the company’s founding. CREED is the industry’s strongest proponent of natural ingredients in fragrance. For these reasons, CREED has a loyal clientele that includes royalty, Hollywood stars, political leaders, legends in business, sports, music and the fine arts as well as discerning members of the public who value beauty and quality in scent.”

Royal Houses? Celebrities? Millionaires? Umm, ME!

As the weather gets warmer, when the sun stays out later and when I have the chance to go to a swank party and sit under a veranda poolside..I am sure to spritz on my Creed Spring Flower. Nothing says “Elegant Spring has Sprung!” like the scent of my Spring Flower. It probably helps that The House of Creed created it especially for my favorite Audrey Hepburn. It was created just for my Audrey in the eighties and was released in 1996 to the public three years ater her death. I have been wearing Spring Flower for almost a decade now and always get compliments on it. It wasn’t easy in the early days having a Creed obsession. It was nearly impossible to get my hands on it back then. Thankfully, Rachael had better resources to find a bottle for me in NYC and generously would bring me this gorgeous gift on her visits out west.

This scent is for the girly-girl, an absolute pink flacon with nothing less then a pastel ribbon around the top. It’s extremely elegant but has a light and fun scent at the same time. It’s a citrusy floral, jasmine, rose, waterlilies and melon with a hint of lemon that all seem to waft up at different times. It’s not owerpowering but almost a youthful and romantic smell. I think it is something Holly Golightly would definitely spritz on her way to Tiffany’s or a Fair Lady would wear to an afternoon at the races.

I’m quite happy that this was such a rare pleasure that I had to hunt down for, smelling uniquely beautiful is a plus! Now the search has gotten much easier as Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf’s and select Saks carry the House of Creed.

There are so many elegant and discerning scents made from this historic family that you’d be hardpressed not to find your own favorite. You also don’t have to worry about smelling mass produced!

Any other Creed devotees out there?
